I just went through an exercise to out my life 10 years from now. I vividly imagine and wrote out what my life would look like 10 years from today, December 22, 2031. I used this as a template: https://yourtenyearplan.com/ . This helps me to make sure I’m not wasting my time on other things. I have taken this 10 year future plan and have hung it on my review wall. I then occasionally check my regular TODO list and see if the items align with my longer term vision. The point of this is to not make me think about short term goals, in fact it should help me worry less about them, but instead to act as a compass and to have focus on the long term goals. And all of this while creating less stress in my life. If you do this, you will grow immensely, even if you do not reach all of your targets. Just don’t forget, the journey is the important part.
