Why would you want to live longer:
- To have a better quality of life as you get older, you don’t want to be in complete pain at 70.
- To work on your passions longer.
- To spend more time with family and loved ones.
Supposedly “Lifespan” is a good book about living longer. I didn’t actually read the book, I read reviews and heard there is only 1 page of actionable insights:
‘There’s one page in the “Conclusion” section where he mentions what he does which is a 1g NMN, 1g resveratrol, Vitamin D, K2, 83mg aspirin, avoid sugar, bread, pasta, skip one meal a day, get your blood tested, don’t smoke, avoid plastic, excessive UV exposure, X-Rays, CT scans, sleep in a cold bedroom, do cold exposure, do exercise.’
I already skip breakfast. I already try to avoid sugar, but now I’m going to be even more strict about it. I take cold showers in the summer and in the winter my last minute of the shower is cold. I don’t take any vitamins, but will need to go research them. I would like to avoid more plastic, buts its everywhere 🙁
Some other things I try to do. Never eat to 100% full, try to eat to 75% full. Always try to have raw food with each meal, even up to 50%. That includes vegetables, fruits, nuts, sprouts, etc. Avoid agitating the mind, try to always be present so that your mind does not get too angry or excited.
